    Design & Estimate

We start with an info call to discuss your ideas, key creative directions, ideal timeline and budget.

If you have design renderings, sketches, or inspiration images, we ask that you share these with us right away.

This enables us to start the estimation process, where we interpret your concept into a feasible scope of work and cost it out for you, and your stakeholders. We provide ballpark estimate or formal quotes, depending on the level of detailed information you can provide us with, and how many levels of approvals are involved.

If you don’t have drawings or sketches, or a firm idea of construction components and dimensions, we can provide design services to create technical renderings, which allow for clear communication between us and a precise scope of work to be agreed upon for ourselves and any of our vendors.

    Plan & Workback

We recommend reaching out with at least 5-6 weeks lead time if you know exactly what you want and have your designs ready to go. If you’re still in the “dreaming it up” phase, we recommend reaching out 8-12 weeks before you need the finished project!

We work closely with you to outline timelines, key deliverables, and approval moments—keeping the process as clear and manageable as possible. With a work-back schedule in place, you'll have a solid sense of how the project will unfold, when your input is needed, and when to expect final pieces to be ready for pickup.

We believe communication is key — we work closely with our clients and ensure you’re up to date on the progress of your project, and address any hiccups along the way as soon as we see them coming.

If your deadline is 3 weeks away or less, we will charge rush fees so that we can accommodate your tight schedule with our suppliers.

Once you approve our estimate, we’ll send you a deposit invoice, which is required for us to begin work on your project.

    Patterns & Mockups

Once your specs have been finalized, deadline has been locked in with us and deposit has been received, the next step is creating a blueprint for the work.

Patterns are needed to build a mock-up/prototype, or for us to go straight into production of your project.

The Mock-up is usually just for us to work out our method and ensure our understanding is aligned with your vision, but can also be prepared fully for stakeholders to view/ view photos of, if required.

Depending on the your needs, a finalized pattern may be digital or paper-based and is used by us/our suppliers to adjust after fittings or approvals. These patterns are not for sale and belong to us.

If you require a pattern for your own future use, talk to us about pricing for a properly prepared package.

  • Sourcing & Production

We often begin sourcing for your project as soon as the deposit has been paid, whether we’re swatching for final approvals or creating the finished project right away.

Once a project is in production, we’ll get in touch if we have any final questions, confirmations to make, or on the rare occasion of unforeseen things to troubleshoot!

We are often juggling projects, so once we’re at this point no news is generally good news! As we near completion of your project, we’ll contact you to make arrangements for pickup.

    Quality Control & Handoff

Once your project is finished, we take a minute to breathe, assess our work and vendors’ work, and check over the components for accuracy and durability.

We keep in mind the destination purpose for your project — is it on stage, or on camera? is it being used or interacted with by the public for an activation? Is it for a gallery installation? Our clients come to us with diverse needs and we ensure that whatever we have made is suitable for its intended debut.

Then, finally, we package up the finished project for you, and send our balance invoice.
